Job Description

Position OverviewThe Treater Truck Driver work under general supervision and treats oil and gas wells for a variety of conditions. The most common of which include the prevention of corrosion, paraffin scale, water loading, and foaming and emulsions. Performs other duties and activities as directed.
 

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate a truck to load, unload, or disperse materials according to company and customer specifications.
  • The number of well sites visited in one day is dependent on the region and can vary from 30-80 per day if the wells are in close proximity.
  • Treater will be responsible for reading gauges and understanding how to operate valves to prevent chemical leakage.
  • Must have an essential understanding of pressures.
  • Must have the ability to read maps and to navigate using an innate sense of direction.
  • Adheres to all safety rules, procedures and regulations.
  • Must have applicable knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining driver logs.
  • Ability to conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on company vehicles based on DOT requirements.
  • May be required to maintain driver logs.
  • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by supervisors.

Skills/Experience:

  • Must have Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement with a clean driving record.
  • At least 1 year experience operating commercial motor vehicle.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HSE, quality assurance and control, and DOT compliance.
  • Oil and gas field experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
