Job Description

Position Overview:  The Dispatcher is responsible for daily
dispatch of trucks for customer jobs and managing daily office responsibilities
to maintain an efficient and organized work place. The dispatch position requires an individual that is a driven leader and problem solver with a knack for respectfully managing drivers, customers and freight. The position requires a strong eye for detail in a fast paced oilfield service environment, a Safety First focus on every detail in dealing with our drivers, fleet, freight and customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage drivers to ensure high level of customer service and fleet profitability.

  • Manage all assigned facility and system freight.

  • Determine if outside carriers are required for specific loads and arrange accordingly.

  • Responsible for selecting, hiring, development, and terminating of drivers in conjunction with management.

  • Receive calls from sales representatives or clients and coordinate jobs accordingly.

  • Type Job Sheets.

  • Complete data entry and print Bill of Ladings.  Retain copy for file.

  • Type proposals and recommendations for sales representatives.

  • Receive and process stock transfer dispositions.

  • Manage all assigned facility and system freight. 

  • Maintain dispatch software in a real time environment.

  • Strive to maximize driver and fleet assets to their maximum potential.


Skills/Experience:


  • 2 years practical dispatch experience in a similar operation is preferred.

  • Must be proficient and comfortable working with dispatch software. 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • A working knowledge of People Net and TMW software is a PLUS 

  • Must be a strong team player.
