Position Overview

Oilfield Fluids Haulers operate trucks with a vessel or tank used for picking up, hauling and unloading various oilfield fluids. These fluids are pulled from customers’ various locations where the fluids are collected in tanks or other containers. These fluids may include a variety of well bore fluids such as fresh water, brine (salt) water, crude oil, frac fluids and other associated well servicing fluids.

  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of oil field fluids (i.e., compatibility’s of liquid to tank, etc.) 
  • Adhere to weight and volume limits 
  • Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Rockwater and regulatory requirements and regulations 
  • Maintaining daily logs, worksheet timecards, expense reports, dispatch, and trip reports as well as vehicle tank inspection reports 
  • Tire chain inspection, maintenance & installation 
  • Understand and comply with, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other regulations as required 
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform minor maintenance on equipment 
  • Ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order at all times and report deficiencies to maintenance staff 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 Drivers Licence with Air Brake Endorsement and clean driver’s abstract 
  • High School Diploma is preferred 
  • Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid and CPR, and other client of industry requirements 
  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • Mechanical ability and aptitude to operate, understand and monitor gauges, levers, pressure, and other related equipment 
  • Ability to couple, uncouple and roll hoses 
  • Ability to lift and carry weights of 75 pounds or more 
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions combined with the ability to work as part of a team, and share information 
  • Ability to climb ladders and other equipment 


Working Conditions

  • Required to work in all weather conditions 
  • Possibility of exposure to flammable substances such H2S, C02 SO2, and other toxic substances 
  • Work “on call” as required 
  • Long periods of driving, standing, crouching, lifting and bending.
