Job Description

The Diesel Mechanic is a full-time position responsible for the maintenance, repair and upkeep of company vehicles and equipment.

  • Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs vehicles and equipment.
  • Inspects vehicles and equipment to detect deficiencies and damage.
  • Ensures vehicles and equipment meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains shop cleanliness.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Keep all tools and equipment in safe working condition.
  • On-call as required.
  • Be able to speak/write English and have reliable transportation.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work for long periods standing, crouching, lifting or bending.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
  • Required to work in all weather conditions.

  • Knowledge of ISX cm871 thru ISX 2350 and pre emission Detroit engines preferable.
  • Able to diagnose engine electrical issues, after treatment pre DEF and DEF systems.
